1. Social Model Design Competition: Türkiye Yüzyılı in Science

The aim of this competition is to design social models that will enhance Türkiye’s scientific production capacity both quantitatively and qualitatively, and position Türkiye as a leading country in all fields of global science. Participants are expected to develop social models that contribute to achieving this goal.

With the belief that scientific production can be strengthened not only through academic efforts but also through cooperation with all segments of society, participants are invited to propose innovative solutions that promote scientific work, remove obstacles facing researchers, connect scientific discoveries with society, and support Türkiye’s progress in science and technology. This includes developing mechanisms to support scientists, projects that increase public interest in science and technology, and educational models that encourage youth to engage in research.

Unique Value: The "Science Park Türkiye (SPT)" model aims to make Türkiye a leader in science by spreading science across all levels of society and transforming it into a driver of economic development. It brings together Türkiye’s rich cultural heritage and modern science, aiming to enhance the nation's scientific visibility both nationally and internationally.

Model Methodology: The model is implemented through Science Park Campuses which will be established in various regions. In these campuses, there are places where scientific development activities can be carried out such as interactive laboratories, science workshops, and entrepreneurship centres. With contributions from local and international experts, training is provided on how to conduct scientific research and development effectively.

Model Feasibility: This social model can be implemented at low cost using existing infrastructure through collaboration between local governments, universities, and the private sector. Flexible programs and events tailored to regional needs ensure that it appeals to all segments of society, increasing its practical applicability and cost-effectiveness.

Widespread Impact: The “Science Park Türkiye” model boosts scientific literacy, nurtures a new generation of scientists and entrepreneurs, and raises public awareness. It strengthens Türkiye’s global visibility in science and technology, contributing to the country’s long-term innovation capacity.
