3. Social Model Design Competition: Türkiye Yüzyılı in Development

The aim of this competition is to design social models that ensure sustainable growth of Türkiye’s economy centred on investment, production, employment, and exports. Participants are expected to develop social models that realize this goal.

Economic development is built upon key elements such as investment, production, employment, and exports, with the aim of raising the overall welfare of society. In this context, participants are invited to design innovative social models that encourage investment, improve production processes, increase employment opportunities, and strengthen exports. This includes mechanisms supporting entrepreneurship, projects that boost workforce productivity, strategies to enhance local production, and sustainable export models. The goal is to implement creative ideas that sustain Türkiye’s economic growth and contribute to social development.

SAMPLE MODEL

Education Level: Bachelor’s / Free
Theme: Century of Türkiye in Development
Social Model Title: Local Value, Global Power: Regional Production Networks (RPN)

Unique Value: The RPN model supports growth based on investment, production, employment, and exports by increasing local production capacities in different regions of Türkiye. It aims to activate local potential while turning regional differences into economic advantages. The model directly connects local producers with national and international markets.

Model Methodology: "Production Cooperation Platforms" are established in each region. These platforms provide local producers with support in financing, technology, education, and marketing. Through a digital network system, producers and buyers are brought together to create an export-oriented ecosystem. Additionally, green technologies and circular economy practices are encouraged in production processes.

Model Feasibility: The model can be implemented through cooperation among local governments, development agencies, universities, and the private sector. It can be realized at low cost by improving existing organized industrial zones and cooperative infrastructures.

Widespread Impact: The model increases production and employment nationwide and expands export capacity. Regional development is balanced, and Türkiye’s economy gains a stronger position in the global market.
