12. The Türkiye Yüzyılı in Communication – Social Model Design Competition

The aim of this competition is to design social models that ensure the accurate global promotion of Türkiye’s national and cultural values from past to present, counter media manipulation targeting the country and its values, and establish healthy international relations through scientific and technological means. Participants are expected to develop social models that fulfil this mission.

In this context, participants are expected to design social models that accurately represent Türkiye’s values, develop strategies to correct negative perceptions in the media, strengthen diplomatic relations, and enhance international communication through information technologies. Additionally, projects aimed at ensuring accurate information flow in the media, creating defence strategies against negative campaigns targeting Türkiye on social media platforms, and establishing an effective digital diplomacy model on a global scale will also be of great importance. The overarching goal is to implement innovative social models that promote Türkiye accurately on the international stage and eliminate common misconceptions about the country.

Social Model Title: Digital Türkiye Promotion Network (DTPN)

Unique Value: The DTPN aims to effectively promote national and cultural values of Türkiye, correct misinformation in international media, and establish a strong digital communication network to counter media manipulation.

Model Methodology: DTPN is carried out by a team of academics, communication experts, and young digital content creators. Multilingual content is produced to showcase cultural values and success stories. Wide audiences are reached through social media platforms, international news agencies, and digital exhibitions. Artificial intelligence-powered analysis tools are used to detect negative content and plan strategic responses.

Model Feasibility: The project can be implemented with the support of institutions such as the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Directorate of Communications, TİKA, and TRT. Collaborations may also be established with social media platforms and international PR agencies.

Widespread Impact: The global image of Türkiye is strengthened, misinformation in the media is reduced, and the model becomes an effective tool of cultural diplomacy. The international relations of Türkiye are built on more solid and reliable foundations.
